We built MAREA,

because we fell in love with Playa Blanca.

This is where we live. It’s where we raise our family, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy the beauty of the beach, nature, and the simple rhythm of life by the ocean.

This isn’t just a destination. It’s home. We hope you’ll feel that when you’re here.

Marea exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is stunning, from the beautifully designed villas to the beach and pool areas that feel like a private paradise. Every meal we had on-site was exceptional, with great variety and quality. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. We ended up having all of our meals here because everything was so good. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we can't wait to come back!

This villa is easily one of my top three favorite places I've ever stayed! The staff was incredible, going above and beyond to take care of everything we needed. The villa itself was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. The balcony was absolutely amazing, featuring a private plunge pool, a spacious daybed, and breathtaking views—especially at sunset! They even prepared a special surprise for a milestone event we were celebrating. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place 100%!

If you are looking for a standard hotel experience, keep moving. This is an apartment rental complex, meaning the vibe is more "private residence" than "resort." Services—including the bar and food—wind down around 5:30 PM, so plan your evenings accordingly. That said, I personally loved my stay here, even with the logistical comedy of errors at the start.
The Culinary Crown Jewel
Believe it or not, the food here was the best I had in all of Ixtapa and Zihua. You wouldn’t expect a rental complex to outshine local restaurants, but the kitchen here is doing something right.
